A science experiment gone wrong. A garden frozen in stone. A town on the brink of disaster.
Jamie Collins has a knack for turning small mishaps into full-blown catastrophes, but his latest experiment has gone way beyond a messy bedroom. One moment, he's trying to supercharge plant growth; the next, his mum’s beloved garden has turned to solid concrete. Worse, the strange transformation is spreading—turning lawns, trees, and even pets into lifeless statues.
As rumors of a "Stone Plague" shake the town, Jamie scrambles to find a cure before his mistake becomes permanent. But when science fails him, he discovers that sometimes the solution isn't found in a test tube—but in something far more unexpected.
Fast-paced, funny, and full of heart, *The Concrete Garden* is a thrilling adventure about science, mistakes, and the unexpected power of taking responsibility. Perfect for readers who love mystery, mischief, and a touch of magic!

After a wild dare at the dentist’s office, Amy’s loose tooth begins to grow... and grow... and grow. Soon, it’s not just her smile at stake — it’s her entire town!
Banjo Williams grew up in regional Australia with a passion for science, adventure, and the unexpected where he spent countless hours reading about wacky inventions, lost civilisations, and the weirdest facts imaginable—like how honey never spoils (seriously, never). Armed with a notebook full of wild ideas and a shed stocked with "borrowed" household supplies, he once (temporarily) dyed the family dog blue—an experiment that convinced him storytelling might be the safer path.
Banjo writes stories that mix humour, adventure, and the wild "what-ifs" of the universe. When not writing, Banjo enjoys hiking, tinkering with gadgets, investigating strange mysteries, or trying (and failing) to train his goldfish to do tricks. He lives in Melbourne with his family and continues to experiment—though his gardening mishaps are far more successful than his childhood experiments.
